Sikh Funeral
| Sikhs believe that the soul comes from God and that after death, that’s where it returns. Prayers are said in order to help the soul on its path back to God.
Their funerals usually take place within three days after the death. Also, as the body is considered an “empty shell” to Sikhs, no monuments are placed in a cemetery. Cremation is preferred, and traditionally the deceased’s youngest son or another relative starts the cremation process. The deceased’s remains are preferably placed in a river. With these things in mind, we will work with you to fulfill your needs to the best of our ability. |
